44 Reasons How NOT to Submit Articles to Article Directories
by Andre Best
As the owner of the ArticlesandAuthors.com article directory I know what is involved with approving articles that authors submit for inclusion in my free article directory. Even though I blatantly and very clearly state multiple times on my website and under the Terms of Usage and Submission Guidelines page the 'rules' that I expect the users of my site to adhere to, with many of the article submissions even this isn't enough.
Since I manually approve every one of the thousands of articles that have been submitted to my site I know what makes for a good article, and what doesn't make for a good article. And even though I do my article approvals manually both to ensure the high quality content of each article and that its formatting is consistent with all the other articles on ArticlesandAuthors.com it still amazes me to see some how some of the article authors clearly disregard a website's rules for submitting articles.
This disregard, which occurs especially due to an article authors' reliance on automatic article submission services and article submission software, pretty much only serves to get the author's articles rejected or the author outright banned from article directory sites. Why? Because the vast majority of article directory owners have virtually zero tolerance for obvious ignorings of their standards by article submitters and authors and they will immediately and outright delete or deny articles that ignore their set standards.
However, do note that my ArticlesandAuthors.com website is viewed as being more liberal with article acceptances because I have higher tolerance for article submission oversights and disregarding of my directory rules and standards. But I am the rare exception when it comes to this tolerance.
So, to make your article submissions easier to do to the majority of article directory websites and to many different article directories I have listed below 44 reasons that were collected from the article directory owners forum that I am an active member of. These are the reasons the article directory owners use to notify the article authors that they are rejecting their article(s). Again, many of these reasons may seem rather innocuous and innocent, but when an article directory owner is innundated every day with approving perhaps hundreds of articles, these reasons become ever moreso necessary for the article directory owner.
Read them, and then we'll close at the end...

Although this is not an exhaustive listing it does reveal the main reasons why an article will get rejected by the majority of free article directories on the Internet today. Again, to clarify, the standards for my ArticlesandAuthors.com website are quite high, but they don't encompass all the reasons listed above.
So what CAN you do if you're bent on getting one-way links to your website via article submissions to free article directories? Easy.
Two things, actually...
Firstly, read and remember the rules of EACH article directory website you're submitting to since every one has its own particular submission guidelines and strictness of rules. And then FOLLOW those rules wholeheartedly. And completely.
And secondly, play fair. Don't get sneaky with your submissions or your article content. Write genuine content genuinely usable by your intended article readers and keep links ONLY where you're allowed to put them, which varies between directories.
Essentially, be a good submitter of good content to the right directories and your articles WILL be accepted by hundreds, if not thousands, of free article directories all over the Internet. And the world.
And won't that be cool.
